Tiki was invented here. Don's Beachcomber Cafe opened in Hollywood in 1933–34 and the whole world followed — the Seven Seas across the street, the Luau in Beverly Hills, Clifton's Pacific Seas downtown, Kelbo's out on Pico. Most of it is gone; this chart holds what stands and marks where the rest fell. Tiki-Ti — opened 1961 by Ray Buhen, one of Don's original bartenders — still pours on Sunset.
No major tiki weekender calls this port yet — these waters are open year-round, and the chart above is the itinerary. Watch The Season for new sailings.
