The autumn one. Circa Caliente is Tiki Caliente's mellower October cousin — same five acres of A-frame Polynesia at the 1964 Caliente Tropics, played at a lower gear as the desert cools off. Everything on this chart is Tiki Caliente's Palm Springs chart, because it is literally the same town and the same hotel: the living rooms on Palm Canyon and the ghosts of the golden age don't change with the season. Book the hotel early — the Tropics fills for the weekend well ahead of wristband sales — and mind that the outer days (Wed/Thu and Sunday) are add-ons around the Friday–Saturday core.

The Palm Canyon Crawl

Every living tiki room in town sits on the same road, and October evenings are the perfect temperature to walk part of it. Sunset mai tai at The Reef, north to Tonga Hut's second-floor perch, dark and serious at Bootlegger inside the old Beachcomber walls, and close it out under the toucans. Rideshare the 4-mile spine.

The Dead Reckoning Run

Three ghosts of the desert's Polynesian golden age: Aloha Jhoe's vanished tiki god, the twice-demolished Chi Chi block, and the Beachcomber's restored torches — the one lost site where the lights are still on.

Know Before You Go

First-timer intel
It's the quiet season
Circa runs in early October, when the desert is shaking off summer and the crowds are thinner than the spring flagship. That's the appeal — a looser, lower-key Caliente. Days can still hit the 90s, so the poolside-and-hydrate rules from spring still apply.
Same hotel, same lockdown
The Caliente Tropics sells out for the weekend before wristbands go on sale. Miss the room block and the walkable overflow on E Palm Canyon — Motel 6, The V, the Hotel California — has you covered.
Mind the outer days
The heart of Circa is Friday and Saturday (Oct 2–3); the Wednesday/Thursday and Sunday pieces are optional add-ons. Buy the days you'll actually use.
Can't make October? Come in spring
This chart is shared with Tiki Caliente, the same producer's bigger spring event at the same hotel. Whichever season you catch, the town's tiki map is identical.

Ice
Vons (Smoke Tree Village) — Bagged ice by the sack, plus groceries, mixers, and a full liquor aisle — five minutes east on the same road as the hotel. The hotel ice machines will not survive 600 tiki people; plan accordingly.
